Composting

Me and my friends had just finished doing a compost project. This project was planned to complete one of our assignments. The composting was done successfully, thanks to the students who were actively involved in this project. It took about six weeks long, but it was really worth it.  Instead of throwing all wastes into rubbish bin, they can choose certain type of kitchen wastes and turn it to become useful product. Non oily and non dairy leftover foods, eggshells, unwanted vegetables and fruits are among kitchen wastes that can be used to make compost. The students had never done any composting before, but now they are becoming more aware about this issue. Some of them even started their own composting at home. Good effort.

  1. I've heard of students using worm composting to learn about biology and recycling in the classroom! There's a great program at www.naturesfootprintinc.com/municipal-worm-bins that lets schools get good quality worm bins for a discount. Check it out!
