Oh, I've been busy with my thesis lately. Given 24 hours a day would never seem to be enough for a wife + mother of three children + student like me, I guess. Need time to think and act. Yes, 24 hours will be just enough for everyone if we know how to manage our time, right? : )

Blood Donation
Hi everyone!!! It's been so long since my last post. Last three days, I went to a hospital near my home for a blood donation campaign. It was a pleasure for me to donate my blood because I can help people. It gave me a great feeling, and I am glad to be given the opportunity to be a blood donor. We may not know the person who receive our blood, but at least we know that our blood help them to save their live.

Resolution
Another new year is coming. Welcome 2012, bye-bye 2011. Another new resolution? Or is it just a recycled resolution? Whatever the reason, resolution helps to set a target that need to be achieved in that particular year. At least that is what I always think. I hope that this coming 2012 will be a better year for everything. More opportunities of education for every child. Better grade and achievement. Less mistake and error. Hmm, leave the past, let's welcome the future!

PMR Result
The PMR result was announced this morning. Normally, I will be the one who feel nervous, one day before the result is announced. Just like the students, sometimes I really cannot sleep, thinking about the upcoming result especially for Science subject. It is funny, right? How I miss that feeling now... Anyway, congratulations to all Form 3 students (and the teachers too), keep up the good work!

Composting
Me and my friends had just finished doing a compost project. This project was planned to complete one of our assignments. The composting was done successfully, thanks to the students who were actively involved in this project. It took about six weeks long, but it was really worth it. Instead of throwing all wastes into rubbish bin, they can choose certain type of kitchen wastes and turn it to become useful product. Non oily and non dairy leftover foods, eggshells, unwanted vegetables and fruits are among kitchen wastes that can be used to make compost. The students had never done any composting before, but now they are becoming more aware about this issue. Some of them even started their own composting at home. Good effort.

"Hi, Teacher!"
Still keeping in touch with my students (thanks to the technology), I can always updating myself about them any time. Some will say "Hi, teacher!, How are you?", and told me, "Teacher, I am doing medicine now", "I'll be graduating very, very soon, teacher" or "I am a dentist now, teacher!". How they have changed tremendously, from a teenage girl to be a young lady. I just love to see their transformation. I may not be the main reason on whatever they are doing now, but knowing the fact that my students has turn to be 'somebody' is making me happy and I feel proud to be their teacher.

Jokes
I remember once a student told me "Teacher, I miss your jokes". While teaching, sometimes I need to cheer them up with something that can light up the class. Of course, I am not a joker, but I will be very happy to share jokes, stories and happy moments with my students so they wont be boring. A little bit sense of humour does not make any harm in any teaching and learning session. Yes, I need to be serious but I also need to attract their attention at the same time. I may not be the best, but at least I've tried. To see my students smile or laugh while enjoying the lesson really gives me a great feeling.
